Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, Germany, is a full-fledged commercial vehicle player in the Indian market and the only Daimler entity worldwide with a brand dedicated to its home market: BharatBenz. A unique combination of Indian engineering with German DNA, tailored to local customer requirements, BharatBenz delivers on total-cost-of ownership, safety, reliability and comfort.
First unveiled in February 2011, BharatBenz celebrated its market launch in September 2012. Within five years of our market entry, we delivered over 55,000 BharatBenz trucks to our customers, an unprecedented ramp-up in the Indian CV industry.
The BharatBenz brand offers a range of ultra-modern trucks in all weight categories from 9 to 49 tones. In addition to our portfolio of trucks, we also supply school, staff and tourist buses. These vehicles are specifically tailored for the Indian market and its demanding customer requirements by Daimler AG, the world’s leading CV manufacturer with a global reach.
BharatBenz trucks and buses are sold and serviced through a pan-Indian network of more than 130 touch points which is continuously expanded further also beyond the tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
